In Loving Memory of Arden Rose Sorenson
March 7, 1937-September 14, 2009
Our Commitment
Arden Rose Sorenson (Laurel’s Mother-in-Law and Kaylee’s Grandmother), was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2002. The family struggled to find exceptional care to help her in the end stages of her life. In 2018, the family was personally affected once again when Laurel’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. With many years of experience and expertise, when you are personally affected by this life-altering disease – it is never an easy decision to decide the appropriate level of support for a loved one. Laurel & Kaylee are both extremely compassionate nurses and knew providing quality care to seniors was their ‘calling’. In December 2015, Arden Rose Home Care evolved.
Arden Rose Home Care provides personalized in-home care for seniors and other adults in need of daily assistance. Our highly trained and dedicated caregivers can help your loved one stay in their home for as long as safely possible—a dream come true for many elders. Our goal is to enrich the lives of our treasured clients while maintaining their safety, well-being, and comfort as they continue to live independently despite disease and other age-related conditions.
Our caregivers are carefully selected, screened, and trained to provide professional, compassionate assistance that meets our organization’s high standards. Our caregivers build true friendships with their clients in order to fulfill their emotional and social needs.
We understand the struggles faced by family members when a loved one needs extra assistance in their home—and we’re here to help. Let our caregivers alleviate this stress by providing in-home care services of a professional caliber but with a personal touch.

Barb Cihak, Client Care Manager
Barb joined the Arden Rose family in December of 2021 and already feels it is the most fulfilling job she has ever had. She started early in life working in a large corporate environment where she worked for 21 years. She decided to go back to school and received her Medical Assistant license—she has worked in two specialist offices for the last 7 years. She enjoyed working closely with the patients especially the elderly. They were always so appreciative and had the best stories to share. She lost her grandparents at a very young age and feels like she missed out on a very special experience that most children are blessed with. Working at Arden Rose is everything she has been looking for; a family environment and being able to develop special bonds with the clients. She is looking forward to the expansion of Arden Rose Home Care to the upcoming assisted living homes that are coming soon. We are going to be one big family! Barb and her husband, Mike have lived in Algonquin for the past 32 years. Nathan is 19 years old and currently attending ECC.
